There is a huge range of activities for people of all ages and interests within easy reach including plenty of local walks, bike rides and a 9 hole golf course in the village. There is stunning scenery and wildlife all around from red squirrels in the garden to ospreys at Loch Garten (only 3 miles away).

The Cairngorms from Loch MorlichOne of the main attractions of Nethy Bridge is that it is so quiet and peaceful and yet there are so many activities within easy reach.
There are loads of outdoor activity centres if you want to take the family kayaking down the River Spey, mountain biking, quad biking or white-water rafting. The Landmark Forest Adventure Park at Carrbridge (only 10 miles away) is terrific fun for children of all ages. When the snow falls, the ski slopes at CairnGorm and The Lecht are easily accessible.
At a somewhat slower pace, take a trip to a local distillery and sample some fine Scottish malt whisky, play a round of golf on one of the many picturesque local courses, go salmon fishing on the River Spey, take the Strathspey Steam Railway through 'Monarch of the Glen' country from Broomhill (Glenbogle) to Aviemore, or head north to the unspoiled beaches at Nairn or look for dolphins in the Moray Firth.
Inverness is just 45 minutes away, so why not take a cruise on Loch Ness or take a trip back through history at Urquhart Castle or Culloden?
